I bought 3 pieces of white foam core poster board for $2.68 each, and 1 sheet of white poster paper for $.58, I already had the packing tape!
Then, I taped the 3 foam core boards together, creating a 3-sided "box" (place tape on outside corners)
I placed my "box" on top of the poster paper, (paper was a bit too small, but I made it work, for now!)
I used a desk lamp as my light source for the first pic, and natural light for the second...note to self, "Do NOT use yellow bulbs!!!"
Final results are amazing, I just need to invest in that new bulb for my lamp, or take my box outside! This folds flat for storage, too! ;o)

great job momma
you are awesome!!!! I totally need to do this...might wait till back to school foam core sale???
Awesome!!!!!! Thanks so much for posting the tutorial!
This is awesome. Thank you!
Great Light Box and for under 10$ WOW!
My camera has a "White Balance" filter for taking pictures indoors. It balances the color so that they look like they were taken with natural light.
I use it a lot; usually take pictures at midnight while the kids are sleeping. :)
Wow! what a wonderful idea!!! Thanks for sharing. I tried the whole light box thing before, but yours seems so much easier! I like the price as well! You have great things in your store! :)
wowza! that's awesome! and timely, too, since one of my cats jumped on my own homemade lightbox and broke it. (i'd made one with a cardboard box and parchment paper.) gonna try your version next if i can't fix it!
WOW thanks for letting the world know about this! I saw your etsy post.I have tried to make these long ago and gave up on glueing tissue paper, and bad cameras !
Clare :)
wow again! great job!
Thanks for posting this!
thanks for sharing your info...i can never get the lighting right for my camera,i'll have to try this! :)
Thanks for the tutorial. :) I'll have to try that myself.
So very helpful. I am trying to make one now with a cardboard box, cut out holes, a white sheet. But the collapsible part of your lightbox is SO necessary with kids! My youngest keeps putting her body in the box. I am afraid it won't survive much longer.
I have the posterboard. I just need to make a lightbox now! Thanks for posting this!
I can't wait to try this! I even have all the stuff because I horde and don't throw away!
Thank you so much for sharing! I will definitely try it, you make it look so easy.
